Curling iron

Curling irons for every need order online

Whether large curls, small curls or beach waves - curling irons bring movement to your hair. Curling irons, also called curling irons or onulier irons, are available in a wide variety of colours, sizes and designs.

Among the most popular and well-known curling irons are the

Curling iron with clip
conical (conical) curling iron
automatic curler

Curling irons with clip

With these curling irons a clamp or clip is attached to the end of the curling iron. The clamp (or clip) fixes the strand of hair while it is being twisted in. This has the great advantage that you do not have to hold the strand with the other hand and can work with one hand. For this reason this - mostly cylindrical - curl bar is especially interesting for beginners. However, if used incorrectly, this curling iron can leave unsightly creases in the hair. Unfortunately you have to make small cutbacks in styling, because with these tools you can only create curls of the same size. An inexpensive but good quality curling iron is for example the Curlissima from ermila, which is available in 2 different sizes.

Conical curling irons

Conical curling irons usually do not have a clip and have a pointed shape. Due to this special design the hair can be twisted in very well up to the tips. With this curling iron you are extremely flexible and can form not only small but also large curls. Conical curling irons are suitable for ladies with bob as well as for medium and long hair. For short hairstyles there are conical ondulation irons with extra thin heating rods. Cone-shaped curling irons are usually a bit difficult to handle for beginners due to the missing clip and are therefore more suitable for advanced and professional curlers.
You can find high quality conical curling irons here.

Automatic curling irons

Automatic curlers, also called curling machines or curlers, are driven by a motor. The operation of the machine is relatively simple. To curl your hair, all you have to do is place a strand of hair in the curler and press a button. The curler will then pull the strand in automatically. After a few seconds waiting time the finished curl can be pulled out easily. The curler is suitable for medium to very long hair. Unfortunately it is not suitable for short hair. Due to its construction the curler is a little heavier in the hand than other curlers.

Buy curler: Important purchase criteria

In the past, curling irons were made of polished metal and were not exactly skin and hair friendly. Today, most modern appliances have a high-quality coating, such as ceramic. Since the ceramic curling iron transfers the heat evenly to the hair, the cuticle layer can close more quickly again. This is gentle on the hair and at the same time provides a beautiful shine. Also positive: the ceramic curling iron prevents the hair from becoming electrically charged. Here you can find all ceramic curling irons.

The temperature of the curling iron should be adjustable so that you can adjust the heat to your hair structure. Because while fine, damaged or colored hair can tolerate a maximum of 170 degrees, thick or frizzy hair can be styled at 230 degrees (don't forget the heat protection spray!).

If you decide on a curl bar without a clip, you should make sure that it has a so-called "cool tip". This tip stays cold during styling and protects against burns. Safety is also ensured by an automatic switch-off, which is activated when not in use.
