Erbe strop Russia leather for razor

The heir strop is made of high quality calf leather (special Gärbung with birch tar) from cattle.

With the two sides it is used for sharpening and cleaning the razor.

The leather side is for sharpening the blade.

For polishing the cutting edge the rod paste can be used as a polishing agent which can be applied (thin with a finger) on the green side.

For sharpening and polishing pull the knife at a shallow angle diagonal (cross deduction) on both sides via the belt, turning the knife not the blade, but on the back of the knife.

The strop must be taut (by turning the wooden handle), so as not to blunt the blade for withdrawing.
